Avocado leaf is joined by corn silk, cherry stalk, yarrow, parsley, licorice root, black seed, couch grass, horsetail and guelder-rose fruit in this ten-ingredient blend. The recipe includes several different plant parts: leaves from the avocado tree, silk from corn, stalks from cherries and roots from licorice. Guelder-rose contributes its fruit. Among these botanicals, licorice root is generally known for its sweet-tasting character.
The botanicals for this natural Esila tea blend are gathered in Hatay and Anatolia. During preparation, the plants are dried in the shade, sorted by hand and packed by hand. Put a tea bag or a teaspoon of the dried herb in a cup, pour over hot water and steep for 5–7 minutes. For green and white teas, water at 80 °C and 3 minutes are enough.
