Product Description

Esila Horsetail Tea is a herbal tea made from horsetail, a plant belonging to the genus Equisetum. Horsetail is recognised by its slender, segmented stems and branches that spread out around them. The plant’s above-ground parts are used in herbal tea preparation. This product comes in a 20 x 2 g pack, totalling 40 g, for those who choose teas prepared from dried botanicals.

The botanicals used to make Esila Horsetail Tea are gathered in Hatay and Anatolia. They are dried in the shade rather than in direct sunlight. The dried botanicals are sorted by hand, and packing is also carried out by hand. This natural tea contains only dried botanicals, with no flavourings or colourings. Esila, the brand behind this tea, has been preparing herbal products in İskenderun, Hatay, for 30 years.

Put a tea bag or a teaspoon of the dried herb in a cup, pour over hot water and steep for 5–7 minutes. For green and white teas, water at 80 °C and 3 minutes are enough.

Like other dried herbal teas, horsetail tea is prepared by steeping the botanicals in hot water. Read the product label before preparation and use a clean cup or teapot. Serve the tea on its own, with crackers or biscuits on a separate plate if you wish. A small tray works for an individual cup, while a teapot and matching cups suit a shared tea table without adding ingredients to the drink.
