Product Description

Esila Mate Tea comes in a pack of 20 tea bags. Mate is an evergreen plant whose leaves are used in South American tea traditions. It can grow as a tree or shrub, and its leaves are steeped in hot water to make a drink. Traditional mate is also served in a dedicated vessel with a filtered straw; this product comes in tea bag format. Esila has been preparing botanical products in Hatay İskenderun for 30 years.

The botanicals used in Esila Mate Tea are dried in the shade rather than in direct sunlight. They are sorted by hand, and the packing is also done by hand. This natural tea contains only dried botanicals, with no flavourings or colourings. Drinks made from mate leaves are generally known for their herbal notes and mildly bitter taste; no flavouring blend or colouring is added to this tea.

Tea bags can be steeped in hot water in a cup. For a mate tea setting, place a cup beside your hot-water pot, with a small saucer and a linen napkin for serving. Serve the tea on its own at a reading table or alongside conversation. Rather than using the dedicated vessel associated with traditional mate, tea bags can be prepared in your usual tea cups. Read the product label before preparing.
