Product Description

Esila Poppy Seed Oil is a plant oil obtained from poppy seeds and offered in a 50 ml size. The small seeds develop inside the plant's capsule-shaped fruit. In Anatolian cooking, poppy seeds appear in breads, rolls and pastries, either scattered whole over dough or ground for fillings. Alongside these familiar uses of the seeds, oil extracted from them also has a place in the kitchen. Poppy seeds are the raw material for this Esila oil.

This natural poppy seed oil is cold-pressed, with no heat applied during pressing. Esila presses it at its own facility in Hatay, drawing on 30 years of preparing botanical products in İskenderun. The oil is additive-free and comes from a single plant: poppy. No other oils are blended into it, and no preservatives or fragrance essences are added. Its single-ingredient composition keeps the product focused on poppy seed oil, without an added oil blend.

Poppy seed oil has culinary uses in salad dressings and baking recipes. In a dressing, it can be combined with vinegar or lemon juice and seasonings, alongside salads made with leaves, tomatoes or cucumber. For baking, recipes that call for poppy seed oil offer another way to use this ingredient. These kitchen uses extend beyond the familiar sprinkling of whole poppy seeds over bread, bringing the oil itself into dressings and dough-based recipes.
