Esila Milk Thistle Oil is a botanical oil presented in a 20 ml pack. Milk thistle oil is generally obtained from the plant’s seeds, rather than its purple flowers. The product carries the Esila name, a brand that has prepared botanical products in Hatay İskenderun for 30 years. Its pack volume is 20 ml. Known botanically as Silybum marianum, milk thistle belongs to the daisy family and grows in the Mediterranean region.
Milk thistle is recognised by its spiny leaf edges and purple flower heads. Its broad green leaves have distinctive white, marble-like markings, while pointed green structures surround the flowers. The plant can grow in sunny, open ground, along roadsides and on uncultivated land. Seeds develop within the flower heads as they mature. While the flowers and patterned leaves identify the plant visually, the seeds are the part generally used to obtain its oil.
