St. John’s Wort Tea

Esila St. John’s Wort Tea is a herbal tea named for the plant known in Turkish as kantaron. St. John’s wort is a perennial recognised by its yellow flowers and is also used in dried herbal infusions. This tea comes in a 20 x 2 g pack, totalling 40 g. Esila has been preparing herbal products in İskenderun, Hatay, for 30 years, including teas for brewing and serving at home.

The botanicals used in Esila St. John’s Wort Tea are gathered in Hatay and Anatolia. After gathering, the plants are dried in the shade. The dried botanicals are then sorted by hand, and packing is also carried out by hand. This natural herbal tea contains only dried botanicals. No flavourings are added to the tea, and no colourings are included in its contents.

Herbal teas are generally prepared by steeping botanicals in hot water and serving the infusion in a cup. Read the packaging label before preparing this tea. For a home tea setting, use a ceramic cup, saucer and teapot. Biscuits or savoury crackers can be served separately on a small plate. When serving guests, arrange the cups on a tray with individual side plates, or serve the tea on its own without food.
