Esila St. John's Wort Oil is a botanical oil available in a 50 ml size. The plant behind its name is a herbaceous perennial recognised by its yellow flowers. It grows across parts of Europe and Asia, including Türkiye. Its flowering parts are used in botanical oil preparations. This oil is offered by Esila, a brand that has been preparing botanical products in İskenderun, Hatay, for 30 years.
St. John's wort flowers have five petals surrounding numerous slender stamens. Its small, oval leaves grow in opposite pairs along the stems. When held up to the light, the leaves show tiny translucent glands that look like dots. Meadows, roadsides and sunny clearings are typical places to find the plant. Flowering generally takes place in summer, with clusters at the tips of branching stems and unopened buds often appearing beside open flowers.
