Product Description
Esila Cone Syrup with Propolis brings cones and propolis together in a 500 ml pack. Cones grow on coniferous trees such as pine and are used in preserves as well as syrups. Cone-based recipes also have a place in Anatolian cooking, alongside syrups made with fruit. Esila has been preparing plant-based products in Hatay İskenderun for 30 years and offers this cone syrup with the addition of propolis, a beekeeping product.
Propolis accompanies cones in this syrup. Bees make propolis using materials collected from tree buds and other resin-bearing parts of plants, then use it to seal small gaps in the hive. As a raw material, propolis is known for its resinous aroma and can have brown, yellowish or greenish tones, depending on the plants visited. Cones, recognised by their overlapping scales, are also used in recipes for syrups and preserves.
