Product Description

Esila Safflower Oil is a plant oil obtained from safflower seeds and presented in a 50 ml pack. Safflower is an annual plant in the daisy family, with flowers that can be yellow, orange or red depending on the variety. After flowering, its seeds develop and mature within the flower heads. Commonly grown in dry climates, safflower is cultivated as an oilseed crop, with its seeds used for oil production.

Esila has prepared plant-based products in İskenderun, Hatay, for 30 years and presses this safflower oil at its own facility in Hatay. The seeds are mechanically pressed using a cold-pressing method, without applying heat during pressing. This natural, additive-free product contains safflower oil as its only ingredient. No oils from other plants are blended in, no preservatives are added, and no fragrance is used to scent the oil.

In cooking, safflower oil is among the plant oils used for salad dressings and cold preparations. Common examples include dressings made with lemon juice or vinegar. In these recipes, the oil is mixed with acidic ingredients and seasonings, then served with chopped vegetables or leafy salads. Lemon, vinegar and the chosen herbs shape the dressing's flavour. Serving the dressing in a separate dish is another option at the table.
