Product Description

Esila Black Seed Oil is a plant oil obtained from the seeds of the black seed plant, supplied in a 250 ml pack. Known botanically as Nigella sativa, the plant produces small black seeds. In Anatolian cooking, these seeds are often scattered over bread, rolls and savoury pastries. Their flavour is generally described as spicy and slightly bitter. The oil offers a liquid ingredient for recipes rather than the granular texture of whole seeds.

This oil is cold-pressed at Esila’s own facility in Hatay, with no heat applied during pressing. It comes from a single plant and is not blended with oils from other plants. No preservatives or fragrance essences are added. The result is a natural, additive-free, single-ingredient black seed oil. Its production and composition are defined by pressing without heat, using only black seed oil and carrying out the pressing at the brand’s own facility.

Black seed oil can be used in salad dressings and oil blends served alongside bread. Dressings made with lemon juice or vinegar are examples of recipes in which it can feature. For a table of chopped greens and vegetables, the dressing can be served in a separate bowl. Bread-dipping blends can also include culinary herbs such as thyme. These are general kitchen uses, offering ideas for both salad preparation and accompaniments served at the table.
