Product Description

Esila Pumpkin Seed Oil is a plant oil obtained from pumpkin seeds, available in a 50 ml pack. The seeds grow inside the pumpkin fruit and are commonly recognised by their flat, oval shape. Within the outer shell is an oil-bearing kernel, the raw material for pumpkin seed oil. Familiar as a snack, pumpkin seeds also appear whole in breads and salads, while their oil has its own culinary uses.

This natural pumpkin seed oil is cold-pressed at Esila's own facility in Hatay, without heat during pressing. It is made from one plant ingredient and is additive-free: no other oils, preservatives or fragrance are added. Pumpkin seed oil is the sole ingredient, rather than a blend of oils from different plants. Esila has prepared plant-based products in İskenderun, Hatay, for 30 years and carries out the pressing of this oil at its own facility.

In cooking, pumpkin seed oil is commonly used in salad dressings and added to dishes at serving time. The oil is generally known for a seed-like, nutty flavour that pairs with leafy greens, tomatoes and cheese. It can be mixed into lemon or vinegar dressings, or offered in a serving dish alongside bread. Other familiar culinary uses include finishing soups and cooked vegetables, where the oil is added as the dish is served.
