Mixed Herbal Paste with Grape Seed

Esila Mixed Herbal Paste with Grape Seed includes the seeds found inside grapes. Grapes appear in the kitchen as fruit and molasses; this recipe also makes use of their seeds. The blend combines fruit-derived ingredients with spices and bee products. It comes in a 420 g glass jar that can be brought straight to the table. This paste is made by Esila, a brand that has been preparing herbal products in Hatay İskenderun for 30 years.

The base of this paste is prepared with honey, carob molasses and grape molasses, with no preservatives. Grape seed is accompanied by carob powder, cinnamon and mustard seed, while royal jelly and pollen complete the ingredient list. Carob appears in two ways, as a powder and as molasses; grapes contribute both seeds and molasses. Honey and molasses are generally known for their sweet character, while cinnamon is familiar for its warm spice aroma. The recipe contains nine ingredients in total.

Honey and molasses-based pastes can be served alongside bread at breakfast. Try this blend on bread or place it in a separate serving dish for the table. Plain bread is an option for pairing with the recipe's sweet ingredients and spices. On a table set with tea, bread and cheese, serve the paste in its own dish so each taste can be tried separately. Arrange the bread and cheese plates around the paste, with tea served alongside.
